Yewon is a passionate individual who seeks to be an active member in her community wherever she finds herself. Her primary goal is to apply her lived experience in her work and contribute to the betterment of the day-to-day lives of people like her—people who have immigrated, people whose voices are not always prioritized, people who may live in fear, people who find themselves uniquely shaped by the environments they find themselves in and must find a new way forward for and largely by themselves.
Originally from South Korea, Yewon immigrated to the United States with her mother. She grew up in Hawai’i and later moved to Massachusetts for college. Yewon now holds a B.A. in Political Science from Wellesley College and is a proud first-generation college graduate. Yewon enjoys working at the grassroots level and being in direct contact with the people she aims to serve. Outside of work, Yewon enjoys playing Stardew Valley, venturing into the city to try different cuisines, and volunteering.
