Enroot supports students in co-creating their futures. We design programs, with students’ feedback in mind, that help them break into spaces that were once closed, remove obstacles that were once formidable, and ensure they have a seat at the table wherever they go. Our work revolves around uncovering students’ skills and talents, exposing them to opportunities, networks, and letting them know they belong.

Reyna let us know about the impact of Enroot on her life:
“Coming to this country,not knowing the language, oh my gosh, you get scared. You're so afraid. When you don't speak the language, it's really intimidating. But Enroot taught me how to confidently stand up in front of a classroom of students and present, just presenting something. Because in high school we have multiple presentations to do, Enroot taught me how to do an interview with someone. I got my first job because of Enroot. I didn't even know I would be able to work in America. While at Enroot, I had two internships and it was the best experience ever.”

Provide 1:1 mentoring by recruiting more local volunteers and dedicated 1:1 coaching to immigrant youth.
Open up post-secondary access, professional internships, and workforce development opportunities.
Ensure that Enroot designs programs that support students’ sense of belonging, enhance their English language acquisition, self-advocacy, and public speaking skills.
