Emily began her career as a middle school math teacher, driven by her belief that every child deserves learning opportunities that are culturally responsive, empowering, and joyful. Before joining Enroot, she served as Deputy Director at Worcester Education Collaborative, where she launched an out-of-school time capacity-building network to support students’ holistic development. Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Middlebury College and a master’s degree in Education Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she was an Urban Scholars Fellow. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring New England’s trails, beaches, and coffee shops with her family and friends.
