Dear Enroot Community,
With less than two months left in the academic year, we're looking forward to brighter days ahead as students complete a mostly virtual school year, seniors graduate, and our college students persist. I’m especially thrilled to share with you that this spring several of the college sophomores who enrolled in our College Success Program when we launched it in 2018 are weeks away from graduating college!
Your generous support is making a difference! This important work was only possible with contributions from individuals like you. Advancing educational equity for immigrant students is more important now than ever before. I hope you can continue to invest in our students’ success by making a gift as part of our Spring Giving Campaign.
“It's hard to put in words how much Enroot means to me. Enroot has been an important part of my life. I was part of both Enroot's high school and college programming. Enroot gave me all the support I needed as an immigrant student who was trying to get into a college and create a better future. I was paired up with an amazing mentor who has helped me a ton not only academically and also helped me better understand the norms and traditions of this country. He also helped me prepare my scholarship and college essays. Enroot has guided me in every step of the college admission process such as taking us on college tours, providing us with valuable information related to financial aid, and holding workshops. Currently, I'm a senior majoring in Computer Science at Boston University. I am finishing up my last semester of undergraduate studies remotely.
After graduation, I will be joining Constant Contact which is an online marketing company as a Software Engineer. I hope to travel around the world when the Covid situation gets better. I hope to travel around the world when the Covid situation gets better. And, as I'm about to enter into the workforce as a Software Engineer I'm hoping to contribute to building products/software that can help people in their everyday lives.
Lastly, I wanna say I LOVE YOU ENROOT! It's a wonderful community to be proud of and I'm glad I decided to join to be part of this community.”
- Asif Rahman, member of the first graduating class of Enroot’s College Success Program
