Paola Ozuna serves as Program Manager at Enroot, where she leads volunteer recruitment, matching, and training; program evaluation, and managing our fantastic AmeriCorps Service Members.
Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Paola moved to the United States over a decade ago. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2013, where she earned a degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations and Latin American Studies. Upon graduation, Paola pursued her passion for social justice and became a labor union organizer with UNITE HERE Local 26, where she represented around 400 hotel and food service workers in the city of Boston. Additionally, she worked as a paralegal at the Civil Rights Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, where she coordinated the intake of complaints from the public to help identify potential civil rights violations.
Paola also brings ample experience in project management and development which stems from working in the nonprofit sector for the past two years at Be The Change, Inc., and more recently, at Artists For Humanity.
In her spare time, she volunteers with Summer Search Boston as a member of their Alumni Board. When she's not volunteering, Paola enjoys traveling, yoga, watching foreign films, and baking treats for the office.
