Frankie Concepcion started at Enroot as a Marketing and Programs Associate in 2015, after receiving her Bachelor's degree from Northeastern University. Since then, she has received a Master of Arts in Teaching with honors from Simmons College, and became a licensed English teacher supporting high school students in the Greater Boston area.
Born and raised in the Philippines, Frankie has been living in the United States for almost a decade. As a former international student, she is passionate about creating community and served as Vice President of the Simmons College Multicultural and International Student Organization, while also working at the College's Center for Global Education. She writes poetry and fiction, and her work has been published internationally both online and in print.
In her spare time Frankie enjoys lindy hop dancing, yoga, crochet, and scuba diving. She writes about growing up in the Philippines and the process of becoming a U.S. permanent resident at frankieconcepcion.com.
