Debbie is excited to be working with the Enroot Program at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS). Debbie develops curriculum and activities and provides support for students, as well as planning and organizing guest speakers, and college and other educational field trips.
Debbie has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from Cornell University and a Master’s Degree in Education (Teaching and Curriculum) from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is a certified Social Studies and English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher for grades 5-12. Debbie is a former CRLS teacher. She taught Social Studies and ESL to bilingual and recent immigrant students and designed interdisciplinary, project- based curriculum.
Debbie comes to Enroot from the King Open School in East Cambridge where she was a Family Liaison. In that capacity, Debbie worked with families to support their involvement and engagement in their children’s learning, promoted community building and volunteerism in the school and organized outreach programs and school-home communications.
Debbie has lived, worked, volunteered and raised her family in Cambridge for the past 20 years. She likes to spend her free time walking around Fresh Pond, reading, enjoying our wonderful city and mostly, providing care and feeding to her 3 teenagers, CRLS graduating classes of 2015, 2018 and 2020!
